Just make sure she has fun. If she doesn't like fishing at first, it may grow on her. I don't use minnows much anymore but my wife, God rest her soul, loved to fish with them. Only thing she didn't care for was cleaning the fish and I did that while she cleaned out and wiped down the boat.

Congrats man. I'll be married 30 years in February. In those 30 years my number 1 fishing partner has been my best friend, my wife. When the boats out she's in it 85% of the time. My son was raised fishing with us in the boat. He's my 2nd fishing partner since he has a fianc now.

I recently got married myself.. and I got her hooked on schooling Sandbass and Stripers..

She puts in a good effort for crappie.. and I don't mind her laying out in her bikini on the boat which can be distracting.. but overall.. she appreciate me taking her out on the boat.. and enjoy our time together..

I let her pick her color jigs and teach her how to use the fish finders and trolling motors.. just include her in the process of fishing.. and she would appreciate it more..

here is my question. What if she enjoys it to much and while I am at work she is out catching my fish????? I don't want to have to choose between her and my fish. LOL.

Congrats!

Years after being married, my wife said I was fishing too much. I explained that I took her fishing on our first date. It shouldn't be a surprise.

Now I fish about once a month crazy

Choose your words wisely. grin

LOL. I was once married prior to this decision. And my ex would go and sleep. fine with me cause i was still fishing. I don't know where this one is going to go as far as fishing. but I love her and will make changes to make sure at the end of the day we are both happy.
