I'm going to have to replace the axle on a 2009 Nitro Z7 trailer. What is the load capacity on the original axle?

Single axle trailer or tandem axle? Should be atamped on manufacturers plate near front of trailer.

Get precise measurements and replace with at least a 3K axle and you'll be OK! That hull, motor, trailer, equipment, water, gas etc... Should weigh no more than 2K--2.2K.

Measured my axle diameter and it is 2.5" which is about a 5k load rating according to research I did online. A 3" axle is 6k-7k it said.

Go with the 3". IF theres not a big difference cost wise. What specifically is the reason you're having to replace the axle? Bent??? If so definitely go with the 3".
