I normally fish pines this time of the year but i have been hitting up Fork more due to it being closer to the house. Any reports and tips I will be going tomorrow to give it a shot I am taking a few guys from work and would like to put em on some good fish. I have not been there so I am not sure what they are doing.

The last day I fished Pines was New Year's Day. I caught a limit everyday between Christmas and New Year's Day. At the time, I was finding most of my fish about 25 foot of water. Either on brush or the edge of the river channel between the dam and Hurricane Creek.

If you aren't real familiar with the bite this time of year, head north from the dam and join the large groups of boats fishing. Drop your bait to the bottom, turn a couple of cranks, and troll around very slowly. I usually fish with one pole in each hand and tie two jigs about 18" apart.

Good Luck.

What Twolakes said. Straight north of the dam is where everyone is finding them. Except us. I don't wear my hat right or something. Wife caught 5 today one was 2.6 lbs. Egg sacks are getting soft already. I think if the water keeps warming they should start there move to the creeks. There was 54 & 55 degree water this weekend but cooled a little today with the rain. We are catching on minnows and Jigs Our neighbor got 30 something today in those areas same way weight on bottom reel up a turn or two and troll.. Be Safe.
