I have a 2015 200HP Mercury Pro XS and when the weather is cold it's hard to shift until it warms up! Is there a simple fix for this? It works fine in warm weather!

Im sure you will come up with one by June breakdance

In all truth Mine does the same thing. When going from gear back to neutral. I found holding the button helps. After the weekend fishing trip, i'm going to try some WD40 on the back side of the shifter to see if it helps clean things up

^^^ This
It may help to use your foot to pull back on the hotfoot to get the engine to idle down before shifting.

You don't need to be going anywhere until it warms up anyway! LOL

Like Danny posted above, I have issues every now and then with my hotfoot not returning ALL the way back to resting position, and it will cause the engine to idle a couple hundred RPMs higher than normal, making it hard to shift. Lubed cable, played with return spring, no luck. That's just how it is sometimes.
