Its all about who is willing to direct the operation - if you build it, they will come.

I'm surprised Doug didn't respond. It works like this

Guy's on the forum pair up and former 2man teams. Teams are randomly drawn to compete against each other. Lake may not be announced till the night before by text message. That way they are fishing blind.

They have a week to pick a day that's mutually acceptable. That's done before the lake drawing. Winner advances and loser is eliminated. It's done till one team is left

Or some version similar to ghis

Lakes in close proximity? I can't make a trip to Falcon. But would be interested for north and east Texas for sure!

Bob Smith may have a copy of the format/rules.
We had 6 teams I think. With 5 two man teams each.. Basically what Kelly said, other than we had two weeks to decide on what lake to fish, that was part of the game, try to lure the opposing team to a lake to your strength.
Can't remember how many matches, 4 or 5..The two teams with the most wins fished in a championship, all on the same lake on the same day, most weight combined won the championship.
Some of the qualifying matches could be 8 hrs, minimum of 4 hrs.
We fished all over the place, the teams had to agree on the lakes or there was a drawing of a lake they had to fish quickly.
