Im looking for a good spot to launch to catch white bass in a boat in either choke canon or near lake corpus Christi. Anything on the river?

I would recommend Launching at the Hwy 99 bridge launch on the upper end of Choke Canyon.
You can troll towards the lake, fish around the bridge pilings or troll up river as far as you want to go.
Just troll until you hookup and then fish that area to see if you can boat a few more.
It's usually good fishing with not as much boat traffic as you will find on the Nueces above Lake Corpus Christi.
On the Nueces you can launch at the single ramp under the bridge on hwy 59 and go any direction and get into the fish, but it gets pretty crowded this time of year especially on weekends.

Do you think they are biting yet at the 99 bridge?

After the rumor about the amount of boats on the nueces on Saturday, im open for another spot. How much river is there at choke?

Nueces is producing limits like crazy up river past 59 bridge and past airport road already. Has been for about 3 weeks now.. 99 should be turning on soon as well..

Depending on the weather im going to be trying 99 this saturday.

I read on another kayak forum where there is a group of kayakers paying for a guided trip out of the airport launch this Sat. & Sun.
Should get interesting there at the ramp when they all decide to launch at one time.
Just a heads up if you plan to go there.

If they got any significant amount of rain up above in the watershed that caused the creeks to run the bite will probably be off on the Nueces this weekend.
It takes a few days depending on how much rain fell, and where.
99 bridge might be a good choice!
