Hi all, I'm a fulltime traveler (originally from Arizona)and I will be volunteering at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge Discovery Center near Lake Jackson, TX for the next two months. Plan to do a lot of fishing and will surely have questions.
I Grew up bass fishing in AZ, and have done some surf and pier fishing on the west coast. Never been to the Gulf before and I'm excited about the opportunity.

I am blessed to be retired and healthy. The wife and I travel full time in a motorhome. We are out doing the things we didn't have the time or money to do while raising our family.

Careful, once you sight cast a big redfish, it's hard not to want to do it again, and again.

There is nothing better than the salt. Pick your style and you can do it in salt, and often from land. You can rig up as much as you want or rig down as much as you want. The most effective method is often the simplest. Big fish are shallow, and with a good pair of polarized sunglasses, you might see something that deters you from swimming or wading. It's simply the best.

I'm not a chick.

Thanks for the welcome.

We will be arriving tomorrow. We will be staying on Bastrop Bayou, just across the street form a public fishing pier. I will probable start close to home and keep lurking on here. Hopefully I will get a feel for the area and get to try different areas.

Maybe I'll see some of you at the water.
