I just want everyone to know the navioncs chip in my lowrance hds made what would have been a terrible situation a lot better. I took my son with me yesterday to get bait it was drizzling and cool but we're certainly use to it we ran down by the marina looking for shad and the fog blew in so thick we could only see about 5 feet. I purposely waited until the afternoon to get bait and it bit us in the but. We had two choices follow the light back to the marina park the boat and have family come pick us up
So I turned on my gps and started looking for the island I knew the ramp was by I purposely stayed out in the middle so we wouldn't have an issue and after an hour we got back to the ramp when I say you could barely see the light on the ramp 😉😎 boy it would have been impossible to get home until Sunday

There you go. Good work on the nav.

My fishing partner took me out in his boat during a soupy thick fog and he ran his boat into the island trying to impress me with his captain skills utilizing his navionics. I told him to shut it down and turn 90 degrees or he would beach the boat on the island.

I have heard people talk about the inconsistency in the accuracy of the gps. It was my first time to use it like that. I picked it up because I heard awesome things for locating trophy blues on a new lake
