Bass are great , but some of my favorite fishing has been in Alaska .
I went to Eagle Charters in Elfin Cove on Chigacof Island .
30-40lb king salmon , 10-12lb Silver's , 45-50lb Ling Cod ( on jigs and 100lb braid ) ,
25- 140lb Halibut , 15lb yellow eye's and sea bass up to 6-7lbs .
4 days of pure heaven .It's was a true bucket list thing and I got to take my son and daughter up there on separate trips . My daughter , who is about 5ft tall and 100lbs soaking wet , battled a 100+ lb Halibut from 200feet deep , still remember the look on her face .

Tarpon and Peacock.

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Most fun fish I've ever caught was a 27lb King Salmon up in Alaska. Those fish will take so much line it's amazing that the reel doesn't catch fire
