I have roughly 4 months that i'll have to do without the kayaks. This northern weather...it stinks for sure! But when in Rome... My first attempt to hit the ice didn't go as planned and I had a bad day. They do exist in my world after all. At least the scenic shots are worth looking at.

I feel for you.
We get ice on the windshield maybe once or twice a year down here in South Texas and I stay home.
On the flipside of that we have about the same amount of time where it's at or near 100+ so just because we sit at home during our ice age doesn't mean we're soft! But you know that!....Reminds me of when I was stationed up at Davisville Rhode Island back years ago, and did the same thing searching for a place to fish.
