Precision NMEA0183 GPS Receiver with Heading Sensor
Got a question about the GPS with heading sensor.
Are 1197 units compatible with this GPS? I tried it on both 1197's I have. Neither sensed it. Hooked it to my Helix 10 and it works fine. Not sure what my version of software is. Maybe an update to make it work?

Heading sensor software was added after version 6.490 when the 360 menus were added. The 360 comes with the AS GPS HS antenna. The software version is shown in the System Status view. The current software for your units are in your Humminbird account IF you registered them. If you did not, do it, and you will have it. http://www.humminbird.com/Category/Support/FAQ/CurrentSoftwareVersions/

Thanks Wayne. I couldn't remember where I got that puck. It came with my 360! LOL
I did register them. I'll check the version when I get home. Pretty sure they need the update.
