I'm looking to get some new rods. Was looking at the Falcon Bucoo but saw the Berkley Series 1 rods which are in the same price range. Anyone like these? I can get half off anything Berkley so I could basically get two for one.

I have one of the originals made before the recent re-introduction & use it still. I responded to a contest they had on FB & won one of the new ones. I needed a new drop shot rod, so that's what I picked & it is awesome as well. I think they perform well above their price point.

Don't mean to swipe your topic but I looked up the Series 1 rods and I noticed they have a 7 ft with a cork pistol grip. What I don't like is it says telescoping. Never heard of a 7 ft telescoping rod! Comments.

blue suspect the rod has one stage that slides into the handle, not full telescoping. got a couple flipping sticks like that works fine
