My friend Frank and I finally were able to get some time to go out with Dean on a crappie trip on Tradinghouse. We had a great time and caught some crappie too. Dean is one of the best guys to fish with and definitely can get you on some fish, highly recommended if you're looking for a guide. I think we ended up with 36 keepers with some nice slabs thrown in there. I thought I was going to win the day with the pictured 1.6 pounder only to have Frank pull 3 the same size or bigger right in a row. All fish caught on brush between 12' and 20'. I think the bigger ones were actually on the most shallow pile we fished if I remember correctly (probably not). I was using the big 3" bonehead slim stick in electric chicken and my friend was fishing an 1/16 head with a BG baby shad in ghost. Both sizes and colors worked, the smaller combo caught more fish including throw backs. I didn't catch an under fish on the bigger bait, but the white and trash bass seemed to like it more on the down side.

Hey Crope1, how's it going...good to hear from you...dude, I am going nuts these days, the businesses have got me hopping so fast...old folks family issues have pinned down my free time....been fishing a couple of times lately, planning on doing much as possible this year...running low on my thermocline favorite colors, so I got to get some more...also, those thingies Josh is selling are working fairly well, so I am going to expand my collection of them...as usual, I still have 100 years worth of Constant Pursuit, but am getting low on the Fishing Farmerrs and White Hots. I need you to come up with someone we can take a Big Fish trip with in February...see if we can get on a lake record...Maybe Waco Kid, Ezzell, or Big Crappie...depending on the lake you want to fish...Is Ernest still doing trips on Lewisville? If so, that would be an option. I will be tied up the next couple of weeks, but after that I will be ready...Let me know...hey, i still want to try that stick that Tbox sells (I know you got some) to see if it will hold a candle to my Boneheads...Later
