I just purchased this Skeeter ZX 176C and I have it at the shop now adding my electronics from my previous boat plus an recessed foot pedal tray. The tech called and is a little unsure about cutting into the deck to do so and I have to go look at it and sign off on allowing him to.

Is there any issues with adding the tray to this model and if so can I get some advise before I install?

Go with a Motor guide xi5 trolling motor and you do not have to even use a foot pedal. I keep mine in the storage compartment and just use the remote control. My boat had a recessed tray and I took it out for more room.just an option. good luck and nice boat

I appreciate the suggestion but I already have a Ultrex waiting to be installed. I thought about a new Terrova because of this but decided to go Ultrex instead.

Thanks for the compliment on the boat.

Shouldn`t be a problem if you will be sure the front of the cutout is 2&1/2 -3in back from the turn up for the bow plate cover. Skeeters have a re-enforced runner running in front of the panel for the front pedestal support. I will see if I can find a picture. http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=75996
