Purchasing a travel trailer to put on Fork in one of the parks on an annual lease. Got approval on the trailer, now I have to find a place to park it pretty soon. I saw an old thread on this but it was years ago and much has changed out there since then. Anyone have any knowledge of the parks in the area that aren't crammed in like sardines and have any openings. I've been searching online but so many don't have web pages or if they do it's one page with a picture and no information. I've been calling a few that I could reach and am having problems with finding a vacancy.

Looking for recommendations for reasonable price ($1500-2000, a little more would be ok if you aren't crammed in tight and they allow pets) that are good parks to look at. Planning on trying to make a drive down there on my next days off to look at possibilities and select one but there are so many and they are so spread out that I'd like to have my list narrowed down. Just looking for a getaway spot, not full time. Any recommendations that I get will be appreciated.

Cannot say enough about Pelican Point. Private deep water ramp with parking, security on site, tgey do all yard work and big, spacious lots with good parking. Very nice folks own it. Love that place.

Pelican Point is a great place. I'll add our park, Fisherman's RV Camp as another to look at. All the same amenities Mark noted. Great owner and neighbors. It's in Big Mustang just E of the HWY 17 bridge.

Take a look at West Fork Landing, off of FM 2946. Bob keeps his park in mint condition, 1 of if not the best ramp on the lake, centrally located to the west side of the lake and social but not a party park lots of good people. Down side to some people is Bob himself, ex-marine and can be a little ruff around the edges, but he means well. I believe he has 1-2 lots open. His # 903-473-3868. I have been here for about 10 years. PM me if you want.

Our place is at Hangout Cove, sits right behind Fishermans Cove on Hwy.17. We like it and they allow pets and the lot rent would be within your desired price range. Last time we were there in Nov. there was some vacancies.

The parks mentioned above are all outstanding. Pelican and Fishermans are top notch. ON a side note, if anyone knows of any parks for sale, I would be very interested in learning more. PM me with details.

We have a place in Hang Out Cove as well. They are some off the best neighbors.

Headed out there Thursday to get a spot and moving a trailer out next week. Any other recommendations out there? I keep running searches and everytime that I do, I come up with different parks. Anyone know of a site that lists all the parks? Taking my wife and looks like we'll be making a day of driving around the lake looking for the right one. One thing that I found was that some of the parks the open lot was pretty far away from the ramp and there was no parking space at the ramp so I'd have to launch and take a long walk. I'm really looking for it to be convenient with the boat.

Popes and Mustang Park both have nice ramps and good parking around them. I'm not familiar with their lease prices. The entance to both parks is the road right across from the carwash between Big and Little Mustang

Bob the owner of Pelican Point told me Monday that he may have 2 lots to lease. We rarely have any open so they will go fast.
