Hey guys i got a lowrance elite 5 for christmas and ive never used anything like it. can someone tell me what im seeing in these images? can you tell me if the bottoms are soft or hard and all that good stuff?

Looks like shad in top pic and white bass or crappie in bottom pic

The top pic is shad, the bottom is fish. Looks like a spoon or crank or maybe an arig would tear whatever it is up

You can make color adjustments to help determine the bottom density, looks like shad in the first pic, and drop a spoon in the second pic. Check here for help with adjusting your unit.

Agree with others on shad in first and fish in second and need to adjust settings. Including some pics of what I knew were fish and type below

2-3 lb bass schooling active on hump

Hope you fished that area thoroughly! I'd have dragged a jig alllll up and down that area
