There are a lot of good guides on the lake and you can look through past threads and find feedback. I highly recommend J.D. Lyle. I haven't fished with him in a few years, but in the past he has always treated me right. He will work hard to put you on fish, he is fun to fish with, and in my opinion he knows that lake as good as anyone.

I have never fished with any of the Striper Express guys, but I have heard nothing but good things about them as well. I recommend calling a few the guides and telling them what type of fishing you are looking for and make a decision after you talk to a few. Good luck to you and if you can stand the cold go now. It is the best time of year to be on the lake fishing for Striper.

I have my first trip booked with Striper Express. It's scheduled for a few weeks from now. When I talked to them they advised January be an adults trip due to the weather or schedule a trip with kids later this spring. I liked that they care more about the experience than filling boats. I'll be sure to post how it goes.

Another thing to consider with small children is what style of fishing your guide plans on doing. Live bait fishing in the warmer months is much better for small children.
