Myself and my good friend Doug took a trip to Somerville to see if we could catch a few and to do more testing with the new Ultrex.

Ended up with 17 fat black crappie!

Two were right at 1.5 pounds!

If it wasn't for spot lock, we would have had a hard time catching any fish today.

When I got on a b/p and set the spot lock, we could fish all around boat and fish the biggest part of the pile.

Most of the time the crappie would be in one small sot on a certain side of the boat.
If you were not in that spot, you did not get bit!
Windy day, easy fishing....never even got on the foot feet of t/m.I Controlled everything from the drivers seat while Doug sat up front and deployed and stowed motor for me!

Here are a few pics!

I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.

Very NICE catchn....

Sounds like you're happy with the Spotlock performance on the MK?

Good to hear some positive feedback from crappie fisherman.....

Those are some footballs! Great catch. I was out yesterday and could not stay over any brush piles or suspended fish with my hand controlled trolling motor. Wishing I had an ultrex or Xi5 trolling motor when I was getting blown all over!!
