I have always fished the main lake of Whitney, I have a different boat so I would like to try the Kimble Bend area. I know from when it was low there are lots of trees on each side of the river channel. Do you go up river or towards the Noland and what do I need to watch for? Thanks for the help.

Go all the way up to the rock hole and throw flukes. You wont be disappointed. Live shad if ya can. Freelined no weight. The hole is between FM1241 and FM 1185. Its a haul but worth it. Its a deep hole that holds striper this time of year.

Forgot to tell you most important part! Look for the bend in river with all the huge boulders on the bank.
