Crazy world we live in, and some even crazier people.

Sad, for the family and kiddos.

Open your eyes & look within, are you satisfied with the life youre living.

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

It's hard to answer that question without asking what is wrong with me and how could I ever do that. When I say, what is wrong with me, I say that in a rhetorical kind of way.

I would think, once a person gets to the point of trying to kill his wife and then himself, they have gotten to the point of such shame for how what have become, and what they have done, they can't allow other people to find out how low they are. Maybe it's sleeping another woman. Maybe it's an addiction to porn. Drugs or alcohol? Maybe just being an untrustworthy person and being afraid people will, find out. I don't know. God made guilt hurt for a damn good reason. It's supposed to hurt. It is supppose to make us not want to do stupid things anymore. Some people learn not to do the things that hurt themselves. Some people learn to hide the pain and keep doing the same things over and over and hope they are not discovered. Blaming other people seems to be a great way to not accept your own flaws.

I have no idea what this guy's issue was, but I can say for certain, he was afraid the light would be shined on himself that would expose him for what he truly was.

I have seen it first hand. When my brother murdered his wife, we asked the same questions. What is wrong with you. He tried to kill, himself but even failed at that too. He copped a deal to hide the underbelly of his life, so he could "shield the family". BS. He was still shielding everyone else from what he had to hide.

Doing the wrong thing and trying to hide it will kill a man. Sometimes, they just keep living though and keep hurting the people around them until they finally die themselves.

I don't know what was wrong with that guy, but I bet he lived a miserable life and it was all his own damn fault. He made bad choices. He chose to keep doing those things. He got to a point where he could not stand to hear anyone mention those things and had to make sure they didn't make him look into the mirror anymore. Maybe they were a threat to him because they talked to others about what a horrible person he was and he could not take it anymore.

Doing bad things are supposed to hurt. It is what being human means. Some learn this, some don't. The ones that don't will never be happy and will make sure the people around them are never happy.

I could be wrong, but that is my answer to the question.

Perspective! Well said, Mud. I've also found it quite helpful to never say, "I'd never do that." We are capable of all sorts of evils. Live in the light.

Sometimes I wonder if the big Guy upstairs had a do-over if he would make us the same?
