Not trying to find out anybodies secret spot but how far is too far? looking to fish tomorrow before the rains this weekend. Ive never fished this creek and I was wondering what would be considered too far. I had a few spots in mind Alton bridge is the closet to the lake but I want to go further, hickory creek rd seems like a fair distance, third would be at hw 377, and 35 would be stretching it IMO but just looking for feedback please correct me if I'm wrong.

So you don't need to go to the mouth of hickory creek...about halfway will suffice! There's a couple good hard turns and those would be the spots I'd look for! All in through there is 8-16ft deep! And the fish are holding on the bottom! Also pay attention to parts of the creek that have small coves sticking out in the straightaways in front of those are some deep spots that have excellent laydowns!! Good luck out there!!

Appreciate the info! Didn't end up going to Hickory creek checked out another and only caught 1 bass. Might have been the wrong choice. Maybe a few weeks after the rain they will strike.
