So you want a dog that 'might' bite someone? Is the dog going to be trained to be selective who it bites or can it bite anyone?

I have a German Shepard male, he is a loyal and would die for you in a second.

When I am outside he is a constant companion. When your working he will lay down some where that he can see you.

Nothing escapes his eyesight or attention. He would stay inside all day but it would be a punishment for him. They need a fenced yard and it needs to be substantial.

In the last week he killed a raccoon, a possum, & a flying squirrel.... Because they entered his yard. He can crush an adult armadillo shell, pretty impressive,

People call before they come over.

Mud has one and it only bites the owner. Is this a problem?

Get one that can bite through a car tire while it's chasing it down the road.

Oskar bites me sometimes, but he is still my bro. It's like living with a biker outlaw dog. I'm glad he doesn't drink though. He would be a mean drunk.

If I had a BIG place with acres to run (one day, one day...) I'd have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Then I'd do my dangest to lure coyotes into the area and watch the fun.

Rottweiler. Family dogs, but very very protective of family and home. Easy to train. I've had 3 and they are great with kids, but a stranger can't get close without an introduction. This is Buddy, a rescue 3 years ago. Took a year before he would let my wife hug me without getting between us. One time he grabbed her pants and pulled her away. Protecting her I'm sure.grin

I'd pet that dog.

I think he needs to see a pic of the nose bite to know you're serious about Oskar's killa kredentials.

German Shepards fit all your needs. Be prepared for lots and lots of hair all over the house.

When I was younger my mom had a friend that breed Great Pyrenees, and they are awesome dogs, but you have to be willing to brush them every day, and sometimes more than once a day.

We had a chihuahua that was about 6yrs old when we got our GSD, and they were fine together. The chihuahua slept on the back of the couch and the GSD let him be the a-hole he was.
