What was that movie where the HS kid and his grandpa are trying to drive a semi truck loaded with uranium or something to deliver to a military compound? They outfitted the truck with flame throwers and 5 gallon molotov cocktails, and got chased by VW bugs with rockets and motorcycle gangs. Ended up dumping the truck and using the kids yellow pickup that had nitrus injection.
Thunder Run maybe? I remember really liking it, but of course I saw it when I was like 12, so I hesitate to call it a good.

the original mad max
rocky horror, used to go to the midnight movies 2-3 times a yr to watch it.
enemy mine, good sci fi about a marooned pilot and an alien kid.
barb wire, another goodie.

The one I remember more than any other was not advertised but a sneak preview at the Medallion theatre, it only showed 1 day due to all the complaints of violence, Death Rides A White Horse.
To this day I have never seen another like it, it was more in the 1st 1-1/2 minutes than most entire movies today and never let up and did have a great story with it, most of the rental places them did not have it or could not get it.
Never heard of any of the actors in it.
