Need some glasses specifically for supper cloudy days trying to cut as much glare as possible but still able to see well. Was considering the copper color but have heard silver mirror mentioned as a favorite for these conditions.

What about amber without the mirror coating? I bought them thinking they'd be great for cloudy days, and they probably would be for most guys. My eyes are real sensitive to the sun though, so they almost let in too much light for me, even on cloudy days.

I used to use Amber without a coating but Costa discontinued this color really did like this color for this application. Your right about copper/green turning the water darker. I have presciption lenses so just can't go buy a pair of glasses off the counter.

+1 on the sunrise lens - if you want to try out the yellow lens - Strike King makes a pair of S11 glasses (Bristol) with their Cloud lens to give you an idea of the lighter lens - I have a pair of the Bristols and they are great in the conditions you mentioned...

New for '17 and designed specifically for the application you describe.
Sunrise Silver Mirror.
A bit darker than the original Sunrise lens and has a slight brownish tint. I've had mine since early Oct and am very impressed. The original Sunrise was great for extremely low light, but IMHO, was too bright for most conditions. It was so bright, the lack of contrast would tend to wash out details. This lens fills the void between Sunrise and Copper.

I got a pair with the sunrise lenses in October thinking I would only use them early morning and in low light but they are now my everyday pair. I wear them 90% of the time in spite of having several other pairs of costas. They are great even when it's sunny and bluebird.

Guys thought I would drop you a note to give you information on the new Silver Sunrise lens. Costa has discontinued the sunrise lens you guys are discussing and have improved and applied a silver mirror to the new lens. It is a very impressive practical lens. It is available in the following styles in the Blackout and Camo frame colors... Blackfin, Corbina, Fisch, Motu, Tuna Alley, and Fantail. Again, if you are discussing with a Costa dealer the name of the lens is Silver Sunrise, and at the present time they are only available in polycarbonate. I'll check back to see if you all have additional questions.
