I think fishing is definitely a way to forge strong relationships that supersede political beliefs. As a political junkie, one of the things I LOVE about fishing is how it completely focuses my attention -- to the point that nothing else matters.

Fishing has always been my answer! While I'm fishing, the outside world and all it's related issues kinda fade away, as if it all gets blurry.........

Nah, if the liberals get to fishing a lot they will demand that we give up our best spots to others that can catch fish, give the majority of our bait to those that don't have the right bait, show tolerance to people that back down the middle of the two lane ramp and then get their boat ready. Before you know it the best lakes will be closed to all but a few elite liberals to "protect" the resource from over use. They would demand only electric motors to keep "global warming" down. Now everyone close their eyes and imagine a day on the lake with Harry Reid, Nacy Pelosi, or Maxine Waters.

Life can be hectic and fast paced if you let it. Fishing help slow things down and brings things back to simpler time and place for me. To me it's the very simple things in life that bring me joy.
