You should be able to catch crappie there on the brush piles TP&W put out.

They seem to always hold a few bass, so there must be shad in the brush piles.

Welcome to you, a lot of us who aren't objectionable to the ditch pickles could use your information especially during the winter with water temps and plant production periods.

I can help out as much as I'm allowed. Just pm me and I'll do what I can if I see it early enough. One thing I've noticed on here about Welsh is that there is a lot of false info out there about this place. What I can say is that we will not be losing another plant in 2017. Just because someone doesn't see steam coming outta that big stack doesn't mean we aren't running. Water temp today is 60 at intake

I have one time seen them using the cooling towers a few years ago, they had lots of water going thru them and running into the lake.

Is there a certain time when they run water thru there?

TPWD website has a section that gives the coordinates for government structure on different lakes. I've only verified the Cypress Springs locations and they were very easy to locate.
