Limestone is fine. A white bass/crappie/catfish lake, kind of like Waco. Same latitude and fishing patterns.

Lived in that area for 40+ years. If crappie is your target fish, there are better options. Trading House or Waco to the west, RC or CC to the north, Livingston to the S/E.
If it's your only close option, there is a decent crappie population. It's just tough fishing.
