Fairfield was mid 60's Saturday. Waxahachie was 46-48 Sunday. Both lakes had big, REALLY BIG, fish to be caught shallow. Biggest of the weekend for me was around 8 pounds on waxahachie. 2 ft of water. Flipping.
Biggest on Fairfield (6-1/2lbs) was top water fishing in around 3-4ft.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Lavon had some icing going on in the Grove creeks when I drove over it on Sunday.
Monti was low-to-mid 60s.

I started deep(ish) throwing a c rig. Couldn't buy a bite. I then went to spots that have worked in the past, shallow spots, and to my surprise I started catching quality fish. They were not in shade, so my guess is they were seeking a warm spot next to cover. The cover had to be significant. And had to extend way up out of the water. Maybe it was slightly warmer very close to the cover. I dunno. Later on in the day I ran the boat over some deep channels and steep points and graphed a lot of fish....they weren't feeding on what I was throwing to em. Might not have been bass for all I know.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
