As far as soft jerk baits, the Zoom Flukes & Magnum Flukes are tough to beat. I've also had a lot of luck with the M-Pack Shad.

I know it sounds bad but whichever one they are biting. I throw mainly 4 brands and it depends on the day. I like Spro and certain colors of Megabass and Rapala's and Luckycraft.
A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of the user- Theodore Roosevelt Broken Bow Lake Fishing Guide 2020 Caymas CX 20 PRO and 250 SHO

Soft: Zoom Super & Magnum Flukes; SK Caffeine Shad for a heavier bait.
Hard: I've had success with the Lucky Craft Pointers so I've stayed with them, but there are many good options in this category but don't have experience with them.
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.

Soft, it's hard to beat the Zoom Salty Super Fluke. Hard, it's hard to beat the Megabass Vision 110 or Lucky Craft Pointer 100.

Just like Gary said, it depends on what the fish are biting best that day to determine what is the best bait to throw so you will need a variety of them, hard and soft.

Hard or soft?
Soft--Its tough to beat the Zoom Super Fluke
Hard-- The H20 series is really tough to beat since its a knock off of Megabass (change the split rings and hooks and you have 3 for the price of one Megabass)

Lucky Craft and Smithwick Rogues. My biggest bass have come off Rogues even though I throw Lucky Craft a lot more.

Megabass Vision 110, Jackall Squad Minnows and Lucky Craft Pointers all have their time and place.

Luck-E-Strike Rick Clunn STX Jerkbait. He designed the Mega bass 110 and then took it to Luck E Strike and it's less than half the cost. LC Pointers and a Spro McStick are good as well
