The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our first meeting of 2017 on Thursday January 12th! The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant on the patio. The meeting will start at 7:00PM.

It's time to get the ball rolling on a new year. We will be taking memberships for the year. Club membership cots $30.00 and covers your entire immediate family. When you get there, look for Russell and David to get started. If you are new and aren't sure who Russell and David are, look for a large line of people, or look for the big guy with long hair and I will get you to them. If you are a returning member, and your contact info has not changed, do your sign up and you are done. If you are new to the Club, or are returning but have moved or changed phone numbers, e-mail addresses etc., we will ask you to fill out an info sheet giving us your contact information.

We will introduce the Club officers and let you know who you go to and for what reason. We will go over the 2017 tournament schedule including choosing a ramp and tournament hours for our first tournament which will be on Saturday February 11th at Lake Bob Sandlin. We will talk about how you qualify for Angler of the Year and the Club Championship in November. We will go over a couple rules changes from last year that were voted in at the November meeting. We will be looking for volunteers to staff the committee for this years Fish For A Cure benefit tournament. We want to get an early jump on that. We will introduce and congratulate our 2016 Co Anglers of the Year Ronnie and Capp and our big bass winner for last year Robert Hitt.

If you are going to be new to RHBC, or are on the fence about joining us, just come out and listen in. See how we do things. We are a casual friendly group that likes to have fun. Introduce yourself and I can show you who people are and a few to avoid... Ask questions! No two Clubs are run the same. If you have a new idea, bring it to the table! Come on out and bring your appetite. Wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. Tip them well!

Is any RHBC Member looking for a co angler?

One thing that we do at every meeting is ask who is looking for a partner. We will do everything possible to help find you a ride. I encourage you to come to our meeting Thursday at 7:00 at the Garland Bass Pro. This meeting and next months meeting would be best to try to find you a full time back seat. Each member gets one guest to fish with a year so if you have a buddy that has a boat he could fish with you one time without having to become a member. Good luck and would love to see you at the meeting!
