Old brush tops, trash, stumps 10 to 16 feet. Caught lots of fish however did not have any big bites did finish with 8 keepers and 42 fish. Texas rigged baby brush hogs in water melon red 3/8ths tunsten bullet head weight 15 pound fluorocarbon line on a Curado reel/All star rod. Carolina rigged lizards watermelon violet. I see reports like this and wonder why somebody wouldn't change locations after catching a bunch of dinks. I could care less how many fish I catch a day. I just need five bites in eight hours.

I mean really, Guy makes an excellent post, depth, line, bait, etc, good day on the Water, and gets a response like that.
Good post, enjoyed it

I'm afraid not everyone is a professional fisherman like yourself. This May be difficult for you to comprehend, but not everyone that gets on Lake Sam Rayburn is there to fish or pre-fish for a tournament. People who own boats actually fish for fun, to catch lots of fish. I know this must be extremely alarming and causing you great mental anguish trying to wrap your head around it. But take some time and really think about it, if you try real hard you might get it. bang

Thank you to the original poster for putting the report on here, sounds like a great day on the water. Please continue to come back and share!

I'm not a pro but I can guarantee any body that goes fishing would rather catch bigger fish. Im sorry if I hurt anybody's feeling with my straight forward realistic post. I don't really sugar coat much and call it like I see it. Good luck on the lake and I hope you all catch what makes you happy.

Thanks for report. I'm same way, would rather catch tons of fish rather than a few big fish.

I have a good time catching "dinks" I mean fish. Good reporting, fishing is always fun regardless of what I catch or don't catch.
