I have a Minn Kota fortrex 112 and went to fish today and my prop wouldn't turn. I was getting power to it according to the little light on the top. Any ideas?

If theres water in it, yes. Froze up with the cold. Did you pull your TM prop off yet. Could be fishing line wadded up behind prop. Thats what will take a TM seal out quick. I remove mine at least every other trip to check. You'd be surprised how many times & how much line they'll pick up. Same with big motor prop. Preventive maintenance : saves money, less breakdowns, more trouble free fishing.

May have a "bad spot on armature" rotate the prop by hand and then try pedal control. Alternate locations of prop when turning by hand and then pedal. If nothing happens when turning by hand at any location you may have a control board issue.

I did take prop off and there was nothing behind it. I tried turning prop by hand but it wouldn't turn at all.

Thanks. Is that replaceable? it's epoxied to the inside of the motor housing. It's non repairable. You can buy just the motor assembly from MK and make the swap yourself. It isn't too hard.
