We have our annual guys trip to COOPER next weekend. We get a cabin at the south sulpher state park and bank it all weekend. I have no time to hit the creek for shad before hand so will be relying on buffalo. Is there anywhere to throw for shad from the state park? How are the water levels? Last year it was so high it was tough to wade at all.

I will be catching bait Friday after lunch for my Saturday trip. I can proably catch some extra not sure what time your getting to the lake.

And the fishing is on fire had another great trip today. No giants but realeased a lot of 15 and 20 pound fish cleaned 5 gallons worth of fillets.

What is the water temp on cooper? What depth are you catching your shad?

Water temp was 45 yesterday but will be back in the 50s pretty quick. Been catching bait in 40 to 45 foot of water. Gixxer1k that will be fine I will be leaving around 3:00 to pick Kids up from school. My number is 903-348-6876 shoot me a text with your number Friday and we can meet up at the ramp.

Gixxer1k-the last time we went to Cooper we landed a 25lb and 32lb within 5 minutes of each other from the bank. Too bad my buddies missed the action since they went to Walmart for wine coolers
