Thinking of maybe heading up that way next weekend for a day to try and catch some largemouth. I've never fished it before, but have found a few spots that look good on the map. Any reports or suggestions on baits or locations? Pm me if you don't want to post it here. Thanks

Did you go this weekend?

Not many Bastrop reports on TFF. There are a few recent reports on the Austin Bass Fishing Forum.

No, I didn't. I don't have any ice fishing gear, just kidding. I am not hard core enough to fish when it's that cold unless I have to. Thanks though. I will check the Austin fishing forum.

The boat ramps are HORRIBLE! Huge drop offs.

The water must be lowered.

I almost got stuck at Dunlap at the beginning of November for the same kind of thing.

DO NOT use the south shore ramp. It's slick as snot, and thus it is easy to get stuck. BTDT.
