Word of caution for kayakers and waders who park their vehicles at Corpus Christi Pass.
When I was fishing the pass area in October, one of the TX wildlife and parks employees informed me that thieves have begun to target vehicles in that area. Smashing windows and stealing whatever they could find while the owners were out fishing.
I have fished this area for years without any trouble until Tuesday. Smashed passenger side window and damage to the window frame. Stole everything that was of any value although some of it was later discarded and turned in by good samaritans to Roy's Bait & Tackle who contacted us.
Was parked well within site of 361 approximately 150 yards off the highway.
Really chaps my behind when I cannot even go wade fishing any more without worrying about some a**hole breaking into my vehicle.
Has anyone else had any trouble like this?

I have known of breakins happening regularly at Wilson's Cut and the surrounding areas. They even cut bull chains to get kayaks out of trucks etc. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard for them to set up a sting op in the area to get the lil bastards...
