I recently got the new St. Croix Legend Glass Cranking Rod 7'2" Medium/Moderate. It's a little over $200, but I'm in love with it so far.

For medium and deep, I LOVE the Dobyns 805 CBRM!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a WONDERFUL rod for those applications. The Dobyns 765 CB RM is another favorite for the lighter baits. Those may be outside your price range, but do you prefer glass, graphite or composite? Each has tehir own following. After doing tons of cranking (even have 5 published CB articles), I prefer pure graphite to feel what is going on with teh lures I throw. Composite, the KVD rod is pretty good. If you are looking for an all purcoseCB rod, there is a St. Croix Avid rod that fits that bill pretty well. It is grahpite, but works great. It is the Avid 7'" AV570MHF that is a great all purpose CB rod. You will get people on here espousing speicif cords, but I do not like to do that until I get a few questions answered. MOSTLY because I do not want to recoomend teh wrong rod. I mentioned what I LIKE, but that is JMO. What are you using now? Do you like one typoe of rod over another (glass, graphite, composition)? How long is y9our rod locker, how tall are you? Those kinds of questions help me fit a recommendaqtion that would be more specific to you , vs. just espossing what I like. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Shalow- mid 7-6 Duckett, 7-7 Tatula cranking rod, or 705 Powell Max 3D
if you want a 7ft cranking rod. The 705 max also is a good top water rod.
Deep-Dobyns 805CB or Duckett 7-11

My son has a Kistler KLX Feel and Reel 7'11. I've been using it some and like it a lot so I'm going to buy one for myself. It's a blend, part graphite and part glass I believe.

I have an Impulse 7'9" MH glass/graphite that I like very much for 6XD's. They go for a little over $200.

I have been having a lot of fun using the Kistler rods lately, especially shallow to mid depths. Caught a lot of fish last week on the KLX rod. Used 12 lb flouro and sacked them. Awesome casting and control.
