Well I had received a new rod and reel setup from tacklewarehouse and the rod came in a 8' cardboard tube that was roughly 4in in diameter. Well, I couldn't just throw it away! I had been meaning to make some sort of a rod holder/hanger and this was the perfect opportunity and it was all free:) I had some scraps of 2X6 laying around and just came up with the measurements myself. Then hung it from the ceiling in the garage. Even have some left over tubing if I want to make more.

Thanks, if you already have the pvc then go for it! But if you are going to buy it, it can get costly. 4in pvc is pricey, or you could try a smaller diameter...just might be harder to hang spinning rods with the larger guides.

I don't have a picture of mine, but I used an old garden hose. Cut it @ 3' and put a dowel rod in them and suspended it from the ceiling. It holds @ 20 rods and reels.

That's awesome, love to see the other renditions of what everyone else has come up with.

Coincidentally I got a new rod from TW the same day I saw this. Thanks for the tip. Got a bunch of stuff I rarely use off the wall rack.

That's great! Glad I could help and that you were able to use that tube. Nice setup with the longer width
