Any of you guys know where I can get one of these units for better price Cabela has it for 2499. You guys have any good reviews on this unit I'm planning on purchasing one within the next month but would appreciate some feed back before I buy it. Thanks!!

Btw I'm still catching a butt load of whites on the lake guys. Some days all magnums. Some days a lot of potatoe chips but never a skunk. Hybrids been illusive this winter due to abnormal warmer weather.

Yes, I want to see good screen shots of schools of fish before I buy one, so try it out and report back. I know you will be on the fish.

The big ? for me is it really worth the extra $800-$900 dollars for the 12".
Need to go stare and compare the difference between the 10 and 12.
For the difference I could get a dedicated gps/map and only run the other for sonar and upgrade my mapping chip and still have $ left over.

You got a pretty good point there stripershack. I was thinking the same. Don't see much diff in the 10 verses the 12. I'm pretty happy with the old 10" I have now. Very hard decision.

There is not as much difference going from the 10" to the 12" as there is going from the 8" inch to the 10"

With that said There is still a huge difference between 10 inch and 12 inch

If possible, go with the 12".

Anyway I always wanted a big flat screen tv on my little tin can boat. Now I got my wish, but still $800 in my pocket is still a lot of money. Knowing me I'm probably end up getting the 12". My older 10" is probably use for mapping and 2D only.

Maybe one day we'll have a smart fish finder like smart phones. Tv,internet, and fish finder all in one. Heck throw in phone capabilities too.

Always go big Bruce. You can always downsize later.
David at Shut Up and Fish. Best prices you will find and he is a good dude too. He supports the local fisheries around here.
