We'll probably pass with the ten rod limit. May swing by and meet some, and see what it's all about. cheers

Same here. Even though I could show up with 10 rods, that's a bit excessive for a true challenge, especially when money is involved. I could see 3 max per person but 1 per person is ideal when money is involved. Then you could also do a random draw to see who gets first location pick, etc, etc.

Sure, you just can't Win or share fish with/help someone who is in. Fish, meet folks from tff, check out people's gear, shoot the chit, talk catfish gear whatever just no Helping or sharing fishes.

Nah, it's more of a bank fishing get together but small $ makes it Fun. That's why I put Boundary of Katie Woods to Catfish Lane. We did do whole Lake once but I like keeping it To Oak Grove Oark area and Katie Woids betterand it's easier for someone to bring a Big Fish over to weigh n release - don't have to wait till a weigh in time. I put 10 rods out at one of these and skunked - most people will have 3 to 6 rods -I'll have six probably this time.

We used to have these once or twice a year and it was kind of fun for guys to meet each other and check out each other's gear and keeping the area small you could go check out what other have for gear and talk catfish gear and catfishing tactics and what have you -some of us would bring grills and we would grill hamburgers and hotdogs. I'm not trying to put on a serious bank fishing tournament - the first one I don't even think we were doing any money but some guys wanted to do Big Fish pot so we did. It was optional.

Just thought it might be fun to do another one and some people might want to do it -don't matter to me - if there's not much interest I'll just stick to my boat.

Also I am so confused as to why y'all would only want 1 rod? Especially from the bank? I would say no less than 5 to have a reasonable chance at hooking something

Don't get me wrong... I frickin LOVE the idea and hope it actually happens!! And I thank you for organizing it! But...when you involve money, it just seems it would be fair to have a constant that would be easily obtainable for everyone. I think most bank fishing dudes use 2-3 rods, some guys have 5, then there's a few of us that have an army of rods. lol.. So I still think 1 rod would be ideal, but 3 rods would also be great. I just think having 10-20 guys fishing, with fewer poles, we could all be closer to each other shooting the breeze. If someone has 5 or more poles, they're going to need alot more bank space than others.

Sorry if my other posts came out snobbish..since you don't mind peeps fishing without being in the pot, I'm sure I'll be there. Again....thank you for organizing this.

Depends on the number of anglers * rods. You get 5-10 guys (or more) each with 5 or more rods, that's alot of bank space and lines in the water. If you only had a few guys, sure they could each bring as many as they wanted. I guess ultimately you could have a scaling number...the more guys entered the fewer the rods allowed???

Is it that limited access where you all have to fish the same bank??

Alright then - 6 Rods Max I can Skunk with 10 so a 6 Rod Skunking will be Easy.......... nuts

That's why we keep the $ Small. Can't get Butt Hurt for $20.........$50 maybe ....$100 for sure....... but it's optional. You can get in on both pots or just Big Fish or just 3 Fish stringer. A stringer can be 1-2- or 3 Fish, Big Fish could Win both if Big Enough...........BUT no catching a Nice Fish then wanting to get in on Pots or giving fish to someone who is in the pots.........10 people or less Winner takes All in that pot, 11 or more people 1st n 2nd in each pot. Must have a fishing license and follow all TPW Regs. Sharing bait is not only allowed it is encouraged. So if you have a honey hole for shad catch a bunch and share.........

I will look at the weather and the playoff schedule and Pick a day or do a vote on 2 date choices tonite or tomorrow......

This Knucklehead showed up at a bank fast 6 or 7 years ago with two bass rig's and a Zebco combo and a couple of forked tree branches for Rod Holders....... I gave him three PVC rebar rod holders so he would not lose his combos if he happened to get lucky on a nice fish . He went on to catch about 10,000 pounds of catfish -bank fishing- over the next few years......... he also won a Bankfest with 3 dinky little channel cats one time.......

There is several miles of bank access between Katie Woods and Catfish Lane.....
this is open to anybody - they don't have to be on tff
