Ok Indian65- its on.
This is a challenge to all fiTFFers! --My new name for us fitness minded TFFers. Post a video swimming in an outdoor unheated pool for as long as you can stand it. The one with longest time in gets fiTFFer of the month award which consists of nothing more than the typical ridicule....err...recognition from fellow OTers. But you will get total respect!! Maybe.
All others will simply have TSD syndrome. GO!
Disclaimer- the shock of extremely cold water can have adverse affects on body including but not limited to TSD syndrome and death. You do this at your own risk.

I get cold in 85 degree water. LOL!

I'm probably out on this challenge lol.
On a semi related note, when I was younger probably 15 years ago we were fishing on Nocona, New Years day, when out of a cove comes a really nice ski boat pulling this guy slaloming in blue jeans and a leather bomber jacket. Still to this day, probably the best skier I've ever seen, he'd pull himself up to the back of the boat, let all the line go slack, and right when he was about to go under it'd hit and there he'd go again. Eventually he pulled himself all the way back then did a front roll of sorts into the back of the boat. It was glass that day and that goober skied the entire perimeter of the lake. That's what I want to see someone do!

Me too. This may be interesting. I just talked myself into and out of doing this about 5 times as I'm reading up on cold water effects in the body.

Obviously, I'm in...
Addendum: Length of time will be the real challenge, not just getting in the water. I cannot attest to how long I will submerge the first time.

Addendum II: I've barked enough about working out in cold, which is good for you and it truly burns more fat. With regards to the "cold water challenge," I will partake, probably more than once. This weekend's upcoming possibility of sleet and snow, and obviously 20s-degree temps will probably keep me from trying it until next week, but who knows...
I barked about it, therefore I will do it! I have to!!!
Forgive me for any video you might see! Doh! IN65

I'm gonna do it tonight while my cahoneys are big enough. Go big or go home! I've already been rehearsing my reaction words after I can breathe again. Goes something like this, "AH, SON OF A.....". You get the idea.

As stated, here's what's at stake...
1. Challenge I--taking a plunge outside in cold water, hence, a Texas version of the Polar Plunge. 2. Challenge II--how long will you actually stay in the water? (swimming and moving will feel better, trust me) 3. Challenge III--will you ask someone to video for you, know that you will get yelled at by someone who might care about you enough to call you an "idiot"?
I'll get Kim to do it at our neighborhood pool across the street. I won't ask my parents to since I don't want to be scolded.
I can't do it tonight because we have a Stars game and need to leave early, so maybe tomorrow. I might even do a challenge this weekend when it's colder! Doh! Idiot!
...no wisdom, just wis-dumb!

Dang that water is cold. I have never done anything like this before. I may give some more tries now that I kind know what to expect. Enjoy the laugh! Attempt #1 Attempt #2

I am not going to watch! The blue hair on your chest is enough to make me cold!
