Tyler,TX too many lakes within 1hr drive too list. Bassfishing heaven. Too much Agua and not enough time .

I just spoke to Engineering in Lufkin. They are finally putting in a new ramp and courtesy dock. No money yet for a bathroom, though. They are repairing cracks in the dam, also. Lady said it would be back open February-ish.

My vote goes to Hemphill. 20 minutes either way to the 2 greatest lakes in the country. Why fish pot hole lakes when you have T-Bend and Rayburn at your feet. Everyone goes WOW when a 30lb stringer is caught on Palestine. Everyone goes nice catch when a 30lb stringer is weighed in on T-Bend. T-Bend Share a Lunker Program (10lb +) had over 70 10lb + bass weighed in last year and 21 so far this year (May 2016 to May 2017).

This is one of the reasons so many of the Texas touring pros live between the lakes.
