fishingmexico.net....... bluebonnet2
Funny, went to that site, one of the links read: "Aguamilpa is a beautiful lake with peaks as high as 6,000 feet, at times towering over the water." Which made me think, 'at times towering', so that means what, sometimes they're not, as in underwater!!? Wow. ;/) PS Had never heard of Aquamilpa, interesting, will check it out.

Will offer a report just after the 17th of January - going for the second time. Current reports say Lizards & maybe a chatterbait. A kid caught a 10 pounder just recently. Took my girlfriend last October - we both caught huge bass -she caught an 8-1/2 & I caught 9-1/2. Our best 5 went 40 pounds. The most amazing bass lake I've ever fished, and I've fished extensively on Fork, Falcon, Sacramento River Delta, Columbia River, Coeur D Alene, & Pend O' Reille. The number of really BIG bass in this lake is unbelievable. There are a lot of folks that have more experience on El Salto than I do, BUT, I've studied all the reports for a while now, and spoke with the best guides there, and it seems the Zoom 8", Watermelon/ Red lizard has a reputation of some really BIG fish on this lake. My "Go To" bait this time -same as last time - a 6th Sense hollow body swimbait, with a Blade Runner inserted swimbait weight & hook. Send me a PM and I'll get you set up with this bait- it WILL be worth your while to have these!!!
Just GO !!!

bluebonnet2 Gary, think I see the problem. When searching your friends name MexicoFishing.net came up, not FishingMexico.net. FishingMexico.net takes you the a company called "Big Bass Fishing Mexico", whereas MexicoFIshing.net takes you to your friend, and his company "Pro Bass Adventures Mexico". Thanks, MS PS Ran across my notes from Jan. 2105, and my trying to figure out a trip down, which did not work out, and his company was there as being top notch, one of two or three.

I like that inserted weight, thanks for the tip. I've had some nice hollow body swimbaits, but now I'll be able to fish them deep.

Thanks for all the private messages from those that are regulars, that's so helpful. You see, I LOVE top, here's what I got on it yesterday, not a bad start to the year, even though it was post-frontal and everyone else was getting skunked. Some times the big ones don't get the memo. ;/) Oh, by the way, over on the 'Off Topic' department, to celebrate my latest released series 'Best of Hawaii, I'm giving away a $750, 11x14 photo of mine, of choice, to one of you TFF members!! Got over 25 folks entered, and I'll draw a name in another day. If you'd like to enter, here is the Off Topic thread direct (it has the link to over 60 images to choose from. If/when you win, you'll get your favorite, good luck): http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/12013708#Post12013708
