Having my new boat rigged and I didn't want an overly bright LED for night fishing. Just enough subdued lighting to keep from tripping on something on deck.

Anyone using these that can give any feedback to what I should expect?

blue water led is a good brand and has a dimmer switch.

Most LED's can be dimmed with a dimmer. How many lights are you wanting to add?
