Any advise on using Nathan Montgomery or " lure buddy " who also offers HP bearing upgrades? Need some reels serviced and possibly looking at bearing upgrades for some of my Shimano reels. Any advise on who to use and any thoughts, good or bad on bearing upgrades would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Most Shimanos have good bearings from the factory. Usually a good flushing and one drop of oil will get them back to rolling great. If there's a flat spot on any of them, replace. Shimanos are very easy to clean yourself if you watch a couple YT videos. I don't know Nathan, but have heard he does good work. ReelEx is great too.

I used Nathan last year and was very satisfied. He did a great job with my reels.

I can't speak for Nathan , but I can say something about bearing upgrades .
I had 4 Shimano Curado's cleaned and upgraded to ceramic bearings , got them back , make my normal reel adjustments , ready to hit the lake and throw some spinnerbaits ----pull up to one of my favorite weed beds , slight wind , perfect conditions AND poof ---biggest backlash in my life !!!!
It took some time to "adjust" my settings with the new bearings , but they do make it easier to get distance with less effort .

Bobby "lure buddy" does great work. I've been using him for years. Gets things done quickly at a fair price. I had him put ceramic bearings in a Curado and a Revo Winch for me and they made a huge difference in casting distance. He can tell you exactly what it will do. Get in touch with him. You won't be sorry
