Anyone have fishing advice to pass along on color, depth, lure, location ( wood brush rock ),etc? I'm aware of James and falcon tackle but thought I would just ask for some personal input if available.c

Best one to talk to on TFF is Donald Harper. He's an encyclopedia on Falcon and Amistad. He can tell you where, how, when and what on those two lakes.

The fish on Falcon are wanting to spawn.. Water temps back in the middle sixties yesterday..

Lots of bucks up real shallow.. Not too many females..

Flip the hardwoods in 0-4 feet on creek channel edges and flats.
Watch your line as a LOT of these fish just pick up your bait and haul it off a few feet.. Very common to hook em on the outside of the mouth.. When you hook em..

Be a line watcher..

Been catching the heck out of em..

Occasionally a sow up there.. More on the way.. But so is another front..

You can catch a lot of fish C-rigging a lizard or senko.. Long gravel points..

Very typical of this time of year..
