Which one? There are several. The (fairly) new fishing pier/breakwater at the end of Market Street is nice, and lit at night. The seawall in front of the aquarium holds fish. The breakwater at the south end of the Rockport Marina is O.K. The pier north of the marina is a good fishing spot. All those are free. The fishing pier in Fulton, the two Copano Bay piers(formerly the old bridge, and Goose Island State Park have nominal fees, but are good spots.

Winter fishing is pretty good in Rockport.

Thank you for the input! I assume the choice of bait is dead shrimp? We are newbies to this salt water fishing.

If you're going to bait fish live shrimp beats dead shrimp any day of the week. I've also had lot's of success with Gulp Baits. I like the Gulp Baits because you fish them like a spinner bait, and I'm too impatient and fidgety to sit and wait for the line to move.

Thanks for the input, I have a friend that goes to Rockport a lot, he said he prefers the pier in Fulton better. ???? Going to go next weekend since it will be in the 80's. Unless this Sunday would be better?
