Fished Waterloo in Denison Monday and Bethany Lakes in Allen Tuesday. Limited out flyfishing - Video Post.

Hit up Lazy L&L today and got skunked on trout. Pretty crowded at the Devil's Playground, looked to be tough day for everyone. Only saw two fish landed all day, one spin fisherman on powerbait dough and a guide boat which pulled what looked to be a solid fish in front of me.

Spent all day on the water from 8-3. I threw everything I had at them today, rubber legs, eggs, copper johns, nymph rigs, dry droppers, nada. Did land this pretty red breasted sun fish with some nice colors to avoid the complete skunk though.



Planning a return trip for Monday to celebrate 2017 and get even with those pesky trout if anyone would like to join in.

Trout were moving about and feeding on the surface at Bethany this morning. After working different parts of the pond, settled in on the "point" and was able to limit out sight casting to passing schools. Video Post.

They stocked the pond in Kennedale yesterday. Went out today with my 3 wt. Water is a couple of feet lower than last year. Caught 6 and kept a limit on a #16 rainbow warrior. Hooked several others but they got off. Finally got tired of the rain and cold hands.

Bait fishermen weren't having much luck but lures were working pretty well.

I'm going to hit it again tomorrow morning.
