I have a tilt pivot seal leaking on 2006 mercury pro xs. Is this easy to remove and if so does anyone know the process of doing so? I added pictures to help.

Not to bad once you get the load pressure off of the tilt ram by supporting the motor. You have to remove #10 for the shaft to come out.

Ok thanks. I'm guessing you put motor all the way up and lock it. Then once you remove that little keeper pin #10 you just punch the big pin out? this may be a dumb question but do you have to drain the hydraulic fluid before removing the pin to relieve pressure?

Ok thank you. It all still works I just am noticing that it is leaking. Would you just buy the rubber seals or a new shaft pin and seals? I was thinking just the seals

You can get the 0-rings in a complete seal kit. Be careful when reinserting the pin you can damage the new O-rings easily.
