Fish have been SUPER ACTIVE this past week. Been catching good numbers of Redbreast,Redear,Bluegill,Longear, and even some nice Rios. The Rio bite has really slowed down due to the latest cold fronts. On Lake Dunlap fish are holding in 10 to 15 feet of water close to drop offs and docks. Fish on the creeks are holding close to brush piles by the bank and at the end of currents. Just about all of the fish I have been catching have been in 7 to 9 inch range. Very few small ones (under 6 inches)were caught. Caught three trophy Rios in the 9 inch range and a few in the 8 inch range. All fish are health, fat, and full of fight. Creeks are in very good shape with good currents. Fish were caught using worms with both bottom and float techniques being used. All fish were released to fight again. Some GREAT late fall fishing. It just don't get any better! fish

Awesome catch Chuck...Ya know, that was where I was finding them on Dunlap as well, but out of the 60+ bluegill caught this week, I did not catch one red ear of any size...not one...it just baffles me how they were so thick the past few years, and now are few and far between...

Nice fish. Good job Chuck!

Side Note: Looks like winter patterns will be setting in. What's your take? Also I bet the Rios will be harder to find. Do you think the Rio bite is over for the season?

Thanks Curtis! The Crappie bite has been OK. thumb Jigs Chartrues/black or Chartrues/pink either ones. 17 to 21 feet by brush piles and ledges. hooked As for the Longear I usually catch some during the winter off of creeks at the end of light rapids. I also get a few off of brush piles in creeks located close to the banks. cheers

Side Note: The Longear bite on the Cibolo has been pretty good all year! hooked
