I was going through my tackle today reorganizing everything and I started looking at all my wacky worm hooks/baits/weight systems. Then I tried to remember the last time I used anything in that box

What about you guys, what do you always end up buying and never use?

I hate to say it but jigs for me. I tell myself that I'm going to concentrate on jig fishing but then I get out there and get excited and throw my confidence baits. If fishing is bad, I might try a jig out of frustration but then I don't catch anything, of course.

I do like swim jigs, though.

I have to say I pretty much use everything I have at one time or another but this could be my weak point. I try using many different techniques in a day instead of staying with what has worked.

Spinner bait.

For me it's definitely squarebill's. I do throw them every now and then but I much prefer a spinnerbait or vibrating jig in the same areas.

Spinnerbaits and cranks-I've gone to soft plastics for 90+ % of my fishing.

Lizards and worms don't see the light of day anymore because I can't get away from my brushogs and senkos and flukes.

Crankbaits. Own probably $2000 worth and rarely throw them. I will throw them for a few minutes and then go to something else.

I used to love jigs. Somehow I have lost the desire to throw them as much (and the results) these days. I had much better luck with t-rig/c-rig this past year. I need to learn to be a better pitch/flip fisherman!

Deep crankbaits and soft plastic swim baits. (Fluke style).

Deep Cranks have not seen any action from me lately, fished mostly shallow this year with the lakes being at full pool and all that brush. Spinnerbaits too...I just can't commit to throw them, 5 minutes and I'm done, back to pitchin'

Somewhere on every lake you can catch the biggest stringer of your life with the bait of your choice. Whatever that bait is you just have to find that spot for that particular bait.

In the 60's and 70's Spinner Baits were all I threw along with a few prototype Cranks straight out of the garage in Memphis, TN.. As I wore out the wrist, elbow and shoulder the plastic era was in full swing. Don't guess I was in the right spot for plastics; because for 5 years fishing went really down hill. Most of those plastics are stored away in the shop. There are only a hand full that I use to catch fish.

Senkos got a ton of them but rarely fish one.
